While its Android phones may not be as popular as the likes of Samsung, LG continues to kick out quality phones year after year. The lineup has gotten a little muddy with the relatively fast iteration and release of interim models between major launches, but that introduces interesting options at a variety of prices. Right now the best LG phone you can get is the V60, but if you have a more restrictive budget or different needs there are other options out there we recommend.

Staff pick
If you want LG’s latest and greatest, you get the newest phone: the LG V60. You get a massive screen and battery that follow industry trends, plus a solid spec sheet, 5G networking, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack — all for a very attractive price. Plus, depending where you buy it, you may get a Dual Screen accessory included.

Dual Screen for less
LG G8X ThinQ
LG really didn’t make big splashes with the G8X, and now that the V60 is out it has kind of lost its place in the world. Still, it offers an interesting niche option for anyone who wants to try out the Dual Screen attachment, but doesn’t want to spend the hundreds extra on the V60.

LG G8 ThinQ
The G8 has been fully replaced by now in LG’s lineup, but it still offers great value considering its deep price cuts. It has last-generation specs, and the cameras are dated, but the screen and hardware still feel modern. Plus, like LG’s other phones, it still offers a 3.5 mm headphone jack with a high-quality DAC.

Save money
LG G7
The G7 is obviously showing its age now, but deep discounts have knocked it into the territory of super-budget phones. And for that money you can get hardware, a display and specs that in most respects outperform those budget devices. Just don’t expect many more software updates going forward.

Budget champ
LG Stylo 6
When it comes time to really pinch the pennies, the Stylo 6 is a great new LG handset that won’t break the bank. The Stylo 6 delivers a huge 6.8-inch Full HD+ display, three cameras for wide or ultra-wide shooting, a large 4,000mAh battery with USB-C charging, and an included stylus that allows you to doodle and draw to your heart’s content.

Which LG phone is right for you?
If money isn’t an object and you want the best LG phone money can buy, you’ll want to go for the LG V60. It’s tough to go wrong getting the latest and greatest, and LG has done a good job of simply adding to the experience with each new phone. You’re getting a huge screen, an equally huge battery, and 5G connectivity for hundreds less than other manufacturers charge for similarly powerful phones.
But not everyone can or should spend that much; LG covers a wide range of prices with its lineup, and history shows us that as LG phones age, they quickly drop in price. A last-generation LG G8 is still a solid buy with respectable cameras and a great screen, and if you need to save even more, there’s the LG Stylo 6.
Beyond LG, there are a lot of other great Android phones available. If you find none of these phones are interesting you, check out some of our favorites.
